Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 15, 2026 · Effective: August 15, 2026

Short version: Expense Tracking is an offline-first app. Your financial data never leaves your device. We do not collect, sell, or share your personal information.

This Privacy Policy describes how Expense Tracking (com.expenses.moneytracker, "App", "we", "our", "us") handles information when you use our application available on the App Store and Google Play. By using the App you agree to the practices described here.

1 Information We Collect

We do not require you to create an account. We do not collect personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, phone number, or precise location.

Data involved in the App falls into two categories:

2 Purchases & Subscriptions

The App offers an optional auto-renewing "Premium" subscription. All billing is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Billing) — we never see, collect, or store your card number, billing address, or any other payment details.

When you subscribe, the store shares a purchase/entitlement confirmation with the App so it can unlock Premium features locally on your device. This confirmation does not include your name, email, or payment information. See Section 3 of our Terms of Use for full subscription billing, renewal, and cancellation terms.

3 Advertising

The App may show advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use device identifiers and cookies to deliver relevant ads. To learn more, visit Google's partner data policy .

You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time. On Android, via Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalisation. On iOS, by declining the App Tracking Transparency prompt or via Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your device.

4 Data Storage & Security

All financial data you enter is stored only on your device using local device storage. We have no access to this data, and it is not backed up to any cloud service operated by us.

We recommend protecting your device with a screen lock to prevent unauthorised access to your financial information.

5 Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal data to any third party.

We may share anonymised, non-identifiable information only with:

6 Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through our App, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

7 Your Rights

Because we do not collect personally identifiable information, most data-subject rights (access, correction, deletion) apply directly to the data stored on your own device. You can delete all your data at any time from within the App's settings.

For data collected by third-party SDKs integrated in the App, please refer to those third parties' own privacy policies.

8 Third-Party Services

The App may contain links to external websites or services (e.g., Google Play Store). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties and encourage you to review their policies before providing any information.

9 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
